Our first Underdog Crew Studios sponsored
fundraiser is a local community LITTER PICK!
Our immediate aim is to raise enough funds to cover the lease of our first Underdog Crew Studios minibus.
We are now collecting sponsorships via ourJustGiving page. We will be hitting the mean autumn streets of Colchester for 4-hour hardcore cleanup in Mid November to continue with our ongoing pledge to 'pay it forward'.
Our youth member who raises the highest sponsorship amount will have the minibus named after them - boldly emblazoned across the front of the bonnet.

Our immediate aim is to raise enough funds to cover the lease of our first Underdog Crew Studios minibus.
Our current funding has been sourced to cover our first year to two years’ core operations and has been carefully allocated to many different running cost ‘pots’. We are always looking towards our next round of grant funding and hopeful that this will continue through multiple channels over the next few years. BUT we have identified the need for a modern, and fit for purpose, minibus as a matter of reasonable urgency and time sensitivity.
There are several key reasons for needing this - none more so than protecting and safeguarding our young members who travel to and from our studio and projects by public transport. We have recently witnessed several examples of negative, and potentially dangerous, experiences for our members from this. Having our own minibus will allow regular pickups and drop off to eliminate these very real dangers, together with easy access to our studio for members who may not always be able to fund their own journeys. We will also have the added benefit of easy to organise day trips and creative studio visits.
We have secured a great deal with the community, schools and charities department of ‘National Fleet Services’, to provide a fully serviced lease package for a brand new ELECTRIC minibus (in line with our pledge towards environmentally friendly practices). This is available to us now and costs circa £6500 per year (roughly £550 per month with VAT).
