As the Underdog crew continues to gain prestige and endorsement, we introduce our most ambitious project to date.
Funded by the 'ECC Arts and Cultural fund' as part of our #underdogcrew educational filmmaking workshops, 'Fools Gold' is our Summer 2022 headline project. Chosen to be showcased at the UK premiere of DB Morgan's Morris Men movie on 29th October at Clacton-on-Sea's historic Princes Theatre, this production is a collaboration between graduate UC members and the class of '22.
Our new 2022 interns incorporate young adults from:
What an amazing experience the last two days have been. Well done to all the behind the scenes talent, including the Underdog Crew and Rodney's Tuskar crew... just absolutely makes me so proud to be amongst all this talent, and even better having the best laugh all the way, even when we ate maggots hahahaha, much much love to you all xx

Founding #UnderdogCrew member,
Joseph Allison, had a vision!
A highly ambitious pirate/zombie themed music video. Huge production values, multi camera shoot, a cast and crew of over twenty people. A multiple day schedule involving several highly complex special makeup effects and costume changes... a potential production nightmare in an incredibly enclosed space, with all the logistical and health & safety challenges of a large crew. Just ask Co executive Producer and head of hospitality, Laura Morgan, who's task it was to look after and cater for everybody across two hot, sunny days on a docked barge in St Osyth, Essex.
Joining us originally via recommendation from his university course tutor, Joe had earned his stripes on the first three of DB Morgan's feature films. He had a clear vision... so we made it happen!
And... EPICALLY... it's going to be shown on the big screen at the UK premiere of DB Morgan's Morris Men movie on October 29th at the historic Princes Theatre in Clacton-on-Sea as the 'Forest of Fools' band play LIVE!!!
#underdogcrew interns all receive a FREE TICKET and are encouraged to bring along family and friends to celebrate their achievement as they collect their certificates and awards.

'DB' MORGAN talks ‘Underdog’.
#Underdogcrew is all about gifting opportunities to those most deserving; those with barriers to achieving their dreams. Whether that be socio/economic, health, self esteem or like myself, mental health issues, autism... whatever!
It would be wrong of me to ask my crew to open up on their own personal experiences without offering my own into the mix. Two years of hell at a notorious Essex boarding school led to my younger life being consumed with drug abuse, leading to being an ex drug user and mental health survivor. I have been left with bouts of crippling anxiety that restrict my life in many ways. After losing our 12-year old daughter, Jodi, to aplastic anaemia in 2010 I’ve also been left with PTSD. I choose to rise above my limitations and slowly face my demons one by one.
As a writer my life experiences have provided me with so much ammunition to channel into the emotions of my work. As a creative I have learned that everyone has a story to tell and the richer a life’s tapestry, the deeper the story.
I love working with ‘outsiders’ as a true underdog myself and thrive on proving people wrong when it comes to underestimating, prejudging or prejudicing against marginalised people and groups. I am passionate about growing my ‘underdog crew’ ethos into a recognised UK movement and allowing all comers to shine under the brilliance of their own light.
This is the heart of #underdogcrew.
